Saving on electricity, lamps and maintenance were the key benefits that led FPT University in Vietnam to choose Casio projectors for their classroom needs.
How did you find out about Casio projectors?
Our first exposure to the Casio brand was through its calculator range. While researching on purchase options, we discovered that Casio also produces projectors.
What are the qualities that you look out for when you purchase a projector?
Procuring a projector from a reliable and known brand is important. We also consider the technology, resolution, life span of light source, as well as the warranty given.
How have you benefited from the advantages of Casio projectors?
The Laser & LED Hybrid technology ensures the brightness of the image quality, even over a long period of use. The projected image is of a sharp and clear resolution with vivid colours. The warranty is thorough and good.
In your opinion, which is your favourite feature and why?
The Laser & LED Hybrid technology helps us to save on maintenance time and to maximise our usage capacity.
What are some of your key challenges and concerns when it comes to projection technology?
In the past, our lecturers often had difficulties connecting their laptops to the projectors. The most common issue was the incompatibility of VGA ports due to hardware differences in imported and locally manufactured laptops.
How have Casio projectors helped to improve the presentation experience for your audience?
Our students now enjoy an uninterrupted and consistent experience with their lecture slideshows. It is for this reason that FPT University now exclusively uses Casio projectors.
What were your perceptions about Casio projectors before using one? Has that perception changed since you bought our product? Why and why not?
Prior to switching to Casio projectors, the university used LCD projectors. Using these LCD projectors gave us several maintenance issues such as short life span of lamps, decreased clarity of lens filters due to dust, and phasing problems. The LCD projectors would also freeze during the warm up process, which was a waste of time.
With Casio Laser & LED Projectors, we no longer face such issues and we have also saved precious time and cut out high maintenance costs.
How often are the Casio projectors used – how often, for what purposes, who uses it?
At FPT University, each classroom holds up to 6 back-to-back lectures on a daily basis. A lecture usually lasts for 2 hours and there is only a 15-minute break between each lecture.
Would you recommend our products to others? If so, why?
Other departments and schools in FPT University were advised to make the switch to Casio projectors. We have also made positive recommendations to fellow universities and instituitions when we were asked to share our experience of using Casio projectors.
